Rachel Morris, Part-time Cataloging Librarian/Archivist at the Center for Popular Music

Rachel Morris is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, and has been a resident of Murfreesboro for over 8 years. She graduated from MTSU in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in History and minor in Anthropology, with research interests in ancient, medieval, and pre-modern European History. She received her Master’s degree in History at MTSU in 2012, with a concentration in Public History and career emphasis in archival management, though she also has training in historic preservation, museum management, and archaeology. Ms. Morris has worked in various archival and museum agencies. She has been a part of the Center for Popular Music staff for over four years, as a graduate assistant, intern, volunteer, interim archivist, and now cataloging librarian. She is responsible for processing collections, cataloging materials, reference assistance, exhibitions, and more. Rachel is a Certified Archivist and member of The Academy of Certified Archivists, Society of American Archivists, and Society of Tennessee Archivists.
