These audio tapes were created for the Center by MTSU English professor
Charles K. Wolfe and Center audio specialist Bruce Nemerov.
Biographical sketch:
Brad McCuen was a former RCA employee involved
in sales and artist representation. He worked mainly in the South ca. post-
WWII through the 1960s. He produced reissues of early RCA jazz recordings and
worked on a radio show on the history of jazz.

Interviewers: Charles K. Wolfe, Bruce Nemerov.
Interview took place in Brad McCuen's home in
Nashville. McCuen discusses his work at RCA, also
talks about Frank Walker, Eli Oberstein, Steve Shoales, Ram Ramires, Mildred
Bailey, Carl Bellinger, Red Norvo,
and the Bluebird label.
