Agency History:
Gospel Arts Day is an annual event sponsored by the Nashville Gospel
Ministries since 1988. The 1989 program was presented 18 June 1989 at Fisk
University and honored Mrs. James A. Myers, former director of the Fisk
Jubilee Singers. Program participants included the Princely Players, the
Nashville Jubilee Singers and the Reunion Quintet composed of former Fisk
Jubilee Singers Daniel Andrews, Starling Hatchett, Oscar Henry, Matthew
Kennedy and Rawn Spearman.
Scope and content:
2 digital audio cassette tapes (TCD-0084A/B) of the 1989 Gospel Arts
Day performance. The audio tape logs which follow list song titles and
performers on each tape.
140 black and white negatives and contact prints of the performance
and of the reception which followed in the Fisk Library. 30 4x5 black and
white prints of selected negatives.

The audio tapes are filed by tape number in the audio visual archive.
The negatives and prints are filed under "Gospel Music-Programs" in the
subject photograph file.
