Agency history/Biographical sketch:

Elvis Presley (b. 1935), "a pivotal figure in the history of rock music... (who) defined rock-and-roll as a musical style and established it as a youth culture and the symbol of teen-age rebellion," died at his home in Memphis TN on 16 August 1977. The cause of his death has remained the subject of controversy and continuing journalistic speculation.

John Lennon (b. 1940), "rock-and-roll singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist, a member of the Beatles from its formation in 1957....with Paul McCartney was primarily responsible for the unprecedented international influence the group exercised over popular music from 1962. ... After the Beatles disbanded in 1970 he worked almost exclusively in...the USA." He was assassinated outside his New York apartment on 8 December 1980.
