Scope and Content:

153 35mm negatives and contact prints, 62 contact prints and 28 3x5 black and white prints of black gospel music groups McCrary and the Fairfield Four, Bill Monroe and His Bluegrass Boys and the East Tennessee State University Bluegrass Band in performance at the annual meeting of the Sonneck Society held at the Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel, Nashville, TN, April 1989. Also photographs of the annual business meeting of the Society.

Descriptive sheets completed by photographer Paul Wells identifying most but not all individual performers and some audience members are filed with the photographs.
