Agency History/biographical sketch:
Tony Morefield
worked at Western Washington State College in Bellingham, Washington. He was referred to the Center by an
acquaintance of Director, Paul Wells.
Scope and content:
This single item
is a performance agreement between performers Booker White and Furry Lewis and
sponsors Tony Morefield and Allen Litell (sp?) written on March 10, 1968. The document specifies the place, time and
type of engagement, as well as the payment amount and other conditions. Booker
or Bukka White (resonator guitar) and Furry (Walter) Lewis (guitar) were
Memphis blues musicians.

The performance
agreement is located in the manuscript section of the stacks in a box labeled
by donor’s name and accession number.
